Spotlight On: Home and Ours
One of our favourite parts of the job is speaking to our customers about their interior styles, and seeing how they incorporate Black Mango pieces into their homes. We recently spoke with Tegan from @homeandours about her home, and were privileged to get a little insider knowledge into her style.
Tegan is a mum of 2, graphic designer and creator of @homeandours, living on the south coast of NSW. She has a love for documenting and creating new exciting spaces in her home filled with light, warmth and texture.
How did you get into Interior Design? Has it always been a passion of yours?
I have always loved all things design and being creative. I am a graphic designer by trade and falling into interiors has been a natural fit.

Choose 3 words to describe your interior style.
Modern, Australian, Cottage - We try to keep things timeless and neutral in all areas of our home whilst still playing with some modern pieces.

What is your favourite space in your home? Why?
I would say our 2 living spaces are my favourite. They are functional, comfortable and both have so many beautiful pieces like accent chairs and slip cover lounges. Both spaces have hero architectural features (our stairs and fireplace) that really make them magical.

Do you have a favourite furniture piece, or something on your wish list?
Our Black Mango Raffles Malawi Style Club chairs.
I love accent chairs. They are a great way to add different textures to the space as well as making the room feel more cosy and complete.

When styling a room what is the most important factor for you?
We try to make each space we style functional and timeless. We often work with a neutral scheme, have layers with different textures, add baskets for storing toys, have comfortable seating with cushions and throws to make the space feel warm.
